Abstract

The study examined the effect of government funding on the quality of education in secondary schools in Buyende District, Uganda. A cross-sectional survey design was employed with 120 respondents including teachers, head teachers, and district education officers. Results revealed that inadequate government funding significantly affected educational quality, with 78.3% of respondents reporting insufficient instructional materials and 82.5% citing poor infrastructure.
