Nabisenke Faith, Kyomuhendo Charlotte

Abstract

The study investigated the impact of technology adoption and integration on cost reduction strategies within organizations. A descriptive cross-sectional survey design was employed with a sample of 135 respondents from various organizations across different sectors. Data was collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using correlation and regression techniques. Results demonstrated a significant positive impact of technology adoption on cost reduction (r=0.798, p<0.01), with automation technologies, cloud computing, and enterprise resource planning systems being the most influential factors. Organizations with higher technology integration levels achieved 32% greater cost reductions compared to those with minimal technology adoption. The study concluded that strategic technology adoption represented a critical enabler of organizational cost efficiency and competitive advantage. Organizations were recommended to develop comprehensive technology roadmaps, invest in employee digital literacy training, adopt phased implementation approaches, and establish robust technology performance measurement systems to maximize cost reduction benefits from technological investments.
